Mike Hertzendorf is currently the VP of Operations for Helicopter Association International. He is the former COE of NUAIR where he was responsible for the integration, synchronization, and execution of all activities and policy development for UAS operations aimed at developing a National UAS Traffic Management System within NY State’s 50-Mile UAS Corridor.
Prior to working at NUAIR Mike spent 29 Years in the U.S. Army as a special operations aviator. He has over 20 years of command and leadership experience. His last role in the Army was as the Chief of Staff of the 82nd Airborne Division. Mike holds a Masters Degree in National Security and Strategy from the U.S. Army War College, a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Murray State University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ithaca College. Mike is a commercial instrument rotorcraft and private single-engine land pilot. Mike volunteers on the Military Advisory Committee for Tuesdays Children.
