#027: Army Talent Management

Featuring Will Sharman, Lisa Jaster, Mike Sarraille and Michael Arnold

Established organizations have the most difficulty retaining talent long term because as they grow, so does the bureaucracy. Just like we get stuck in our ways, older institutions find themselves in a rut. Slowly changing, bureaucratic institutions cannot be flexible enough to allow truly gifted individuals to innovate and develop, and therefore, much leave. Few institutions in the world are as old and large as the military, but the US Army took GEN McConville seriously when he introduced his ideas for transformational change with his slogan “People First, Winning Matters.” The Army recruits talented individuals every day, but retention has been a problem at multiple crossroads throughout US history.

Join Army Ranger School Graduate, Lisa Jaster, with guest Deputy Director for the US Army Talent Management Task Force (ATMTF), Mike Arnold, and panelist Fran Racioppi.
